Turtlehead (Chelone spp.)

Turtlehead is a moisture-loving perennial named for its unique, snapdragon-like flowers that resemble a turtle’s head. Blooming in late summer to early fall, the flowers come in shades of pink, white, and purple. With upright stems and dark green foliage, turtlehead is an excellent choice for rain gardens, borders, or the edges of streams and ponds.
