Myrtle (Vinca minor)

Commonly known as Myrtle, Creeping Myrtle, or Periwinkle, Vinca minor is a low-growing, evergreen groundcover prized for its glossy green leaves and charming blue-violet, lavender, or white flowers that bloom in spring and occasionally again in fall. It spreads by trailing stems that root as they grow, forming a dense mat ideal for covering bare soil or suppressing weeds. Myrtle is tough, low-maintenance, and highly adaptable, making it perfect for shady areas, slopes, or underplanting shrubs and trees.
