Montmorency Cherry Tree (Prunus cerasus ‘Montmorency’)

The Montmorency Cherry is the most widely grown tart cherry variety in the United States, prized for its bright red fruit and tangy flavor. Originating from the Montmorency Valley in France, this tree is a springtime showstopper with its profusion of white blossoms, followed by a heavy summer crop of cherries. Ideal for pies, preserves, and juice, Montmorency cherries are also rich in antioxidants. The tree’s upright, spreading form and reliable productivity make it a favorite for home orchards and culinary gardens.
