Ice Plant (Delosperma cooperi)

Ice Plant is a low-growing, mat-forming succulent known for its bright, daisy-like flowers and shimmering, fleshy foliage. The leaves appear to glisten—hence the name “ice plant”—and provide year-round texture in warmer zones. In bloom, the plant becomes a vivid carpet of magenta, pink, or yellow flowers. It thrives in hot, dry conditions, making it ideal for rock gardens, borders, slopes, and containers. It’s evergreen in warmer climates and tolerates drought, salt, and poor soil once established.
