Blackgold Cherry Tree (Prunus avium ‘BlackGold)

The BlackGold Cherry is a cold-hardy, late-blooming sweet cherry variety developed by Cornell University. A cross between ‘Stella’ and ‘Stark Gold’, it was bred to resist spring frosts and common cherry diseases. Its deep red to nearly black fruit is firm, juicy, and sweet with subtle honey-like notes. This self-fertile tree is ideal for colder climates and also serves as a universal pollinator for other sweet cherry varieties.
