Bird’s Nest Fern

Sun Needs:

• Medium to bright indirect light
• Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch fronds
• Can tolerate low light but grows more slowly

• Non-flowering (reproduces via spores on the underside of fronds)

Size:

Height: 1 to 2 feet indoors
Width: 1 to 3 feet spread, depending on container size and maturity

• Humidity: High humidity preferred; mist often or place near a humidifier
• Temperature: Thrives in 60–80°F; avoid cold drafts
• Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer
• Pruning: Remove damaged or yellow fronds at the base
• Repotting: Every 2–3 years or when rootbound
