Proper Plant Care and Placement
Selecting an appropriate location for your plant is essential. Consider each plant’s specific requirements, such as sun or shade preference, moisture levels, and deer resistance. Be mindful of the plant’s mature size to ensure it will suit the intended space throughout its life span.
Initial Planting Guidelines for Trees and Shrubs
For the first 72 hours after purchase, it is critical to provide proper care. Water your new plant daily until it is securely planted in the g round. Once established, water every other day, increasing frequency during periods of extreme heat or drought. Deep watering to thoroughly drench the roots is recommended, as this ensures all parts of the root system receive adequate hydration. Incomplete watering may result in dry areas within the root zone, compromising plant health.
We are pleased to assist with planting any specimen from our nursery that you wish to add to your property and will offer expert guidance as needed. However, certain locations are not conducive to healthy growth. We cannot guarantee plantings in the root zones of large canopy trees, sandy soils, or gravelly areas. Additionally, we advise against planting within 15 feet of major roads, as treatments can negatively impact plant vitality. Plantings in these higher – risk zones are not covered by our guarantee, and customers assuming these sites accept full responsibility.
One Year Guarantee on Trees and Shrubs
Holdridge Home and Garden provides a one-year guarantee on Trees and Shrubs valid from the date of purchase.
- Trees and shrubs are required to be properly planted and watered within three days of purchase, and must receive appropriate watering throughout the growing season.
- The guarantee is only valid with the original receipt.
- When applicable, we will offer a replacement in the form of a merchandise credit equivalent to the original purchase price . This merchandise credit is redeemable on any future purchase without expiration. Please safeguard this credit as cash, as it cannot be tracked through our system.
- Not valid for plant material marked down at greater than quantity discount.
- Trees and shrubs have a one - time guarantee; replacements are not guaranteed.
- Delivery and/or installation fees apply if needed on replacement trees or shrubs.
