Mountain Pieris ( Pieris floribunda)

Mountain Pieris is a compact, evergreen shrub native to the Appalachian Mountains. It is prized for its glossy, leathery leaves and dense clusters of fragrant, bell-shaped white flowers that bloom in early spring. Unlike its more common cousin Pieris japonica, Pieris floribunda is more cold-hardy and has a more upright, tidy growth habit. It’s an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and foundation plantings.
